How many repetitions of contractile movements are necessary to achieve objectives of increased tone, strength or agility in the musculature of the human body? The issue of repetitions is an issue that has been controversial for decades in general skeletal muscle training. There are many opinions, scientific or not, fed from the world of sports, bodybuilding, fitness or physical therapy, each specialist with a different perspective, given that the objectives are different in each area and  there are a variety of objectives and degrees of training to achieve within each area.
